A suggestion over pirates’ system

Let’s remind everyone that if the attacks of Black Den (Pirates) were limited, that’s because the system permitting HL to take scraps was so op it wouldn’t be possible to allow that anymore.

And here i’m telling you “What if you change this system to make it fair for everyone?”

So here my suggestion:

I - The role of the pirates:

The role of the pirate shouldn’t be to provide passive content (You’ve no one to attack around so you attack them) but an active content for everyone.

So first of all here some changes about their spawn:

Changing the pirates’ organization

Instead of having random fleet, i’m suggesting to split the pirates in four type of spot depending on their size
Small one (Outpost): Containing only: Scout, Callhagann Frigate and Iron Crusader
Medium (Asteroid’s base): Containing: Scout, Callhagann Frigate, Iron Crusader Athmos and Victoire.
Big one (Fortress): Containing: Containing: Scout, Callhagann Frigate, Iron Crusader Athmos, Bridman’s glory, Cruiser Blondel A., Esaki L, Victoire and Hess.
Lunar Base: Containing: Scout, Callhagann Frigate, Iron Crusader Athmos, Bridman’s glory, Cruiser Blondel A., Esaki L, Victoire, Hess and Heimdall + Defenses.


How many ship for each ones and in which proportions?

Small one: (Around 10-20 ships) + small tech (Between 1-3)
Scout: 40%
Frigate: 30%
Iron crusader: 20%

Medium one: (Around 50 ships) + Medium tech level (5-Cool
Scout: 10%
Frigate: 20%
Athmos: 30%
Crusader: 30%
Victoire: 10%

Big one: (Around 200-300 ships) High tech level (8-11)
Scout: 5%
Frigate: 5%
Athmos: 15%
Bridgman glory: 15%
Crusader: 15%
Blondel: 15%
Victoire: 10%
Hess: 10%
Esaki L: 10%

Lunar Base: (Around 5 000 - 10 000 ships + 2 000 - 3 000 defenses) Huge tech level (12-15)

Scout: 2%
Frigate: 3%
Athmos: 15%
Esaki: 25%
Bridgman glory: 10%
Crusader: 5%
Blondel: 20%
Victoire: 5%
Hess: 15%
A boss perhaps???? (Mother ship) (That’s just a bonus)


Why would i fucking waste my ships killing these fucking pirates INXILE!

II - The rewards or penalty for not cleaning the spots.

So the problem was the scraps or any give away of ressources?




A - The penalty for not cleaning the spots.

For the Small one:
It decreases the production of every planets by 5% per spot of pirate in the system
It reduces the defensive hull/shield/damages by 2% per spot in the system.

For the medium one:
It decrease the production of every planets by 10% per spot of pirates for the players with a level superior to 35 on a range of 5 systems
It reduces the defender ships hull/shield/damages by 5% per spot of pirate for the player with a level superior to 35 on a range of 5 systems

For the big one:
It reduces the tech Military intel by 2 for the players above lvl 60 in a range of 10 systems
It reduces the defender ships hull/shield/damage by 5% per spot of pirates in a range of 10 systems around for the players above lvl 60
It decrease the production of every planet by 5% per spot of pirate in a range of 10 systems around for the players above lvl 60

For the lunar base:
It has no actual effect.

B - The most wanted thing ever: the reward:

Why would you kill them?

+ First of all it removes the malus
+ Secondly we could think about a reward based on probability.

Small one:
50%: Nothing
30% 1K of each ressources given in the cargos of the ships
18%: A frig was captured during the fight and join your side
2% An iron crusader was captured during the fight and join your side

Medium one:
50%: 10K of each ressources
30%: You found a cargo containing ressources: + 2 cargo + 20K ressources (one or an other given randomly)
10%: Two athmos just joined your side
5%: A squad of pirates surrendered: 2 iron, 1 athmos just joined your side
3%: A bridgman glory just joined your side
2%: You found a great treasure here: + 25K of each ressources.

Large one:

30%: +50K ressources of each
30%: 1 blondel just joined your side
20%: You found a great amount of ressources! + 150K carbon, +100K chips +50K hydro
10% A squad of hunter just joined your side: + 10 esaki
5% You found a glorious artefact

(THAT IS JUST EXEMPLE OF REWARD AND IT CAN BE BALANCE TO MAKE IT WORTH THE DEAL)!!!!

Lunar Base:
Still need to think about it.


III - How does it respawn?

To make it sure no one abuse them, just limit the respawn rate at 100 by day.
60 small, 40 medium, 10 big all over the universe.

IV - The special spot: The lunar base. (Will write it next week.)
